CSI show-runner  Carol Mendelsohn recently spoke at a Banff TV fest masterclass where she said that CSI would be filming on location this season at San Francisco, California and possibly London during season nine.

"We feel Grissom is a modern-day Sherlock Holmes," Mendelsohn said. She continued with saying that a CSI team flew down to London a few years ago to look into the possible storyline.

One of the other things brought up at the masterclass was a possible scribe switch with fellow CBS show Two and a Half Men. "We might just do it," she said.
